1. Clear File Explorer History:

  • Open File Explorer (Windows key + E).
  • Click on the "File" menu at the top-left corner.
  • Select "Change folder and search options."
  • In the Folder Options window, go to the "General" tab.
  • Under the "Privacy" section, click on the "Clear" button next to "Clear File Explorer history."
  • Click "OK" to save the changes.

2. Clear Run Command History:

  • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type "regedit" and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
  • On the right-hand side, you will see a list of recently run commands. Right-click on each entry and select "Delete" to remove them.
  • Close the Registry Editor.

3. Clear Recently Opened Files:

  • Right-click on the Windows Start button and select "Settings."
  • In the Settings window, click on "Personalization."
  • Go to the "Start" tab on the left-hand side.
  • Toggle off the switch for "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar."
  • Close the Settings window.

4. Clear Recent Items:

  • Right-click on the Windows Start button and select "Run."
  • Type "%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent" and press Enter.
  • In the Recent folder, select all the files and press Shift + Delete to permanently delete them.

5. Clear Browser History:

  • Open your web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the browser's history-clearing options.
  • Select the desired time range or choose "All time" to delete all history.
  • Check the boxes for the types of data you want to remove (e.g., browsing history, cookies, cache).
  • Click on the "Clear" or "Delete" button to clear the selected data.

Remember that clearing these activities will remove the records from your local machine, but it may not remove them from any remote servers or backups that may exist.
